Steve Balsamo
Peace Mala Endorsement
Singer/songwriter
The Peace Mala, on the surface, seems a beautiful and simple idea. However, on deeper reflection one gets the feeling that there is much more going on, maybe even a divine providence. In the act of uniting people of different faiths, the possibility of witness, grace and ultimately peace, even for a second, is opened up. And once that door is opened...
I wholeheartedly endorse the vision of Peace Mala and Pam Evans.
Steve Balsamo is a singer/songwriter from Swansea, South Wales, who first came to prominence playing Christ in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar.
After releasing an album as a solo artist on Columbia Records, Steve formed the acclaimed West Coast influenced harmony band The Storys, and toured the world with the likes of Elton John, Joe Cocker and Celine Dion to namedrop but a few.
Steve was the singer with Deep Purple founder Jon Lord's Concerto band until his death in 2012, and is currently working with Rosalie Deighton on a country/folk duet album.
Here are a couple of pictures of Steve taken in our Peace Garden during his visit to the Peace Mala headquarters.
